If you’re looking for some truly amazing motorcycle routes, the state of Washington has a lot to offer. The rugged Pacific coastline offers some very scenic and exhilarating rides, and don’t forget about riding through St. Helens State Park and Mount Rainier. The motocycle ride up SR 410 into Mount Rainier National Park is one of the greatest motorcycle rides around, so don’t forget your camera. Scenery? You’ll have it wherever you go. A motorcycle tour of the North Cascades Highway is a great way to spend a day or two.

Motorcycle Driving License in Washington
Before you take that bike up Mount Rainier, you’ll need a motorcycle endorsement on your license. There are two paths to the endorsement. You can take an approved rider course at a motorcycle training school, and take your certificate to the license office within six months, and you can get the endorsement without having to take the written and road tests. Alternately, you can go to the Department of Licensing and take a written test, which allows you to get an instruction permit, and after holding the instruction permit, you can take the road test and get the endorsement.

If you’re under 18, you do have to take the rider course before applying for the endorsement, and need to have parental permission. If you have a three-wheeled bike or a sidecar, you’ll also need a special endorsement.
